(November 13th, 2025) Jeff, Kathy and I were watching Notre Dame football comfortably on the third level while it was pouring rain outside. Kathy kept hearing a dripping sound and noticing a pool of water on the wood floor, she had me pull the curtain open revealing a leak right above the window. With a bucket catching the drops the rest of the night, we hoped for a break in the weather to be able to repair it the next day. Even though it was still raining and leaking in the morning, the weather showed a 2 hour gap between storms. Lucky me, I was voted to again go on the roof while Kathy and Jeff were my safety crew. Finished repairs just as rain began again. Next we had Scot Brown call and to tell me they had no water and I was voted to help him pull his well pump as we did last year. Sadly, we again didn't need to do that as it was an electrical issue again! Finally, Kathy and I were on our way to her Dr appointment in Reno when as we are coming into Truckee, CA the truck suddenly threw a code and message that said "Service ESC" and "Engine power degraded". We were regulated to 35 miles and hour as we limped into Truckee. Towed it all the way to the school below our home and limped it up to the house with all the codes still there. Two days later making room for Thanksgiving parking, I started the truck and all codes were gone! Drove it for 10 miles with no issues. Hmmmmm. Click on photo for more pictures! |
